The Langhe and Roero regions are in the heart of the Piemontese food and wine country, and they are famous in the whole world for its wine production. The most famous of all are the great red wines with their splendid ruby red color: Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto d’Alba and others.
On your group tour, you will have the opportunity to see vineyards and follow the whole process of creating these celebrated wines. Then you will taste some in a series of selected wineries.
White truffles from Alba are also quite famous, and every year there is an international truffle fair that attracts visitors from every corner of the world.
Every “cascina”, or farmhouse, in southern Piemonte has a Tonda Gentile hazelnut tree next to it. These local hazelnuts were made famous by the beloved Ferrero products, but they are also the main ingredient in the famous Alba Torrone. You will be able to taste this delicious sweet at the end of your visit to a traditional torrone factory.
Get to know the cheeses of the region, featured in a yearly Cheese Festival in Bra, and the Piemontese beef that are two ingredients that form the base of this authentic local Piemontese cuisine while you are on your group tour.
We are here to help you organize your tour of the Langhe region to discover the food, wine, and characteristic scenery of Piemonte.
