1st Day:
Afternoon arrival to Genoa, check in at your hotel and have the evening free to visit the marvels of this capital of the Italian Riviera. Overnight stay.
2nd Day: “Van Gogh and Gaugin’s trip”
Palazzo Ducale, Doge’s Apartments

Your morning will be dedicated to this exhibit in the famous Palazzo Ducale. The exhibit features artists like Van Gogh, Monet, Cézanne, Renoir and Henri Matisse. Lunch free. In the afternoon, transfer to Sanremo, hotel check in and dinner. After dinner we suggest stopping by the Municipal Casino, to give into your passion for risk.
3rd Day: Tracing Monet’s footsteps
After breakfast, transfer to Dolceacqua to visit this splendid medieval village, at the mouth of the Nervia river, featured in many of Monet’s paintings. The village is separated into two parts that are joined together by a bridge.
The older part of the village, made up of tall and narrow houses that face the winding streets, is at the feet of the Doria family castle. The flat part of the town hosts artisanal workshops, characteristic restaurants and wineries where you can taste local Rossese wine, which you can only find here.
At lunchtime, enjoy a wine and local food tasting in one of the local wineries. In the afternoon continue onto Bordighera, where you can visit the fabulous Villa Pompeo Mariani. You will be taken on a magical trip in Monet’s footsteps, visiting the park, workshop and the villa, all enriched with Monet’s paintings.
At the end of your visit, return to hotel and overnight stay.
4th Day: France, home of Impressionism
Morning transfer to Nice where you will visit the famous Matisse Museum, located in a Genovese style home in the Cimiez area. This museum celebrates the northern French artist’s long visits to the this region with an exceptional collection made up of 68 paintings and hundreds of designs, books and photographs. Continue onto Cagnes sur Mer and visit the “Domaine des Collettes” area. Here there is a magnificent olive grove and the home of Pierre-Auguste Renoir, which eventually became a museum.
At the end of your visit, return home.
